Australia's Freedom of Information (FOI) laws are under attack. Ministers and agencies now routinely reject FOI requests on questionable grounds that are almost never tested in court.

FOI laws are a cornerstone of our democracy. Vulnerable communities use information obtained through FOI requests to expose abuse and prevent harm: institutional racism, abuse in elder care facilities and more.

We've drawn up a 'litigation hit list' of the Government's 5 worst and most widely used excuses that we think could be illegal. Now we want to make sure that vulnerable communities and their advocates can get their cases to court.
